WSJ link

A link.  I usually end up deleting them later because they tend to disappear.  This one brought tears to my eyes.  Trust not the media, right or left.  Question.  Look deeper.  Seek details.  Don't just swallow it hook, line, and sinker.  I did, and so did a lot of other people.

"Shirley Sherrod's speech, and her story, has lessons for us all."
"The Power of Redemption" written by Peggy Noonan.

I'm going to give it as a reading assignment to our son.

I agree 100% Lil. The media is a sick animal right now and seeking the truth is what we should all be doing - no matter where it comes from. And we really need to demand that the media be more accountable and report the actual FACTS. It's really morphed into a disgusting creature and too many people are willing to take sides and agree with what they hear because it suits their agenda - whether it's true or not. And yes, it's both the left and right - and everywhere in-between.

Sigh...

I really hope this incident with Shirley Sherrod wakes everyone up a bit about rushing to judge.

I agree, I don't trust the majority of what I hear from the media.

We changed our minds instantly as soon as we knew the "whole story". It's not a left/right or conservative/liberal issue, it's about right and wrong.
