It's 2010. Will you say it's the year two thousand and ten or are you going to say it's twenty ten? The grammar police never sleep you know. They're going to be listening. Maybe a think tank is working on it this very moment.
I think I'll say twenty-ten. I didn't say "one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine" for the same reason "two thousand ten" doesn't sound right (to me anyway). Twenty oh-nine didn't sound right, but twenty-ten does, so I think I'll say twenty-ten just like I said "nineteen eighty-four".

Twenty-ten for me too. Although I've used the other version as well. But it's twenty-ten in my brain when I look at it.
