The pumpkin pie for tomorrow is cooking for 50 minutes. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Can't jump over it. Can't pass Go and land on January 2nd. Gotta go straight through.
This reminds me of "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" - one of my favorite children's books! Can't go under it, can't go over it, have to go straight through it! Not until just now did I see that book as a metaphor for life. Slow brain, that's what I have!
