But best of all (as a mom). Our son has written two postcards to Cliff the Engineer. I was so pleased that he wanted to write all on his own. It was his idea. He even asked me the correct spellings for a couple words. Gee, I guess when we really have a need, a desire, we can do a good job? I like the kind of second grade going into third grade writing that doesn't require me to grit my teeth and pull out my hair and take two Excedrin.
