Tonight I was asked if I'm from the hippie generation - by someone older than me! I replied that my husband says I'm stuck in the '70s, so there ya go. Then we talked about the horror of '80s fashions. That was the worst decade for buying clothes in my life. Stripes I remember. Everything was in stripes. And those peg leg pants. I was never so happy as when the flared legs made a comeback.

I had to laugh over the stripes as I've just finished a blog post about stripes. All I can say is that I must have looked like something dredged up from the 80s today when I went out in public. I had on striped jeans, a striped top (thankfully covered up) and had had the sense to remove my striped pullover and replace with a plain jacket before I left home. What can I say? I'd dressed for comfort at home (I was soooooooo cold) but it was definitely not a good look. And the worst thing of all? Today a fan recognised me for the first time ever and I was dressed like that!
I must concede, that IS a lot of stripes. lol. What a coincidence that we blogged the same topic on the same night. That's so neat that someone recognized you from your book. We await the sequel!
Last night my pastor said only 6% of Christians help lead someone to God. He said we are supposed to be concerned for souls. Your book really showed me how simply one can share her faith. A fictional character demonstrated that to me - Katie Donovan did!
I actually liked some of the dresses from the 80's, what I can remember of them anyway.
Wait a minute. I may have liked a few dresses from the '80s too.
